💠 The finish on this puzzle is beautiful. It has a very matte look but has a subtle glittery finish. The glitter isn't chunky or cheap looking and doesn't come off at all. I have seen some puzzles where it feels like they just put glue and some regular craft glitter on top of the puzzle as an afterthought, but that isn't the case with this puzzle.
💠 Quality:
- Thick, matte pieces.
- Fun irregular shapes, with even some false edges thrown in.
- Absolutely no puzzle glare.
- Two sets of pieces came stuck together but were easily separated with no issues.
- No damaged pieces.
-Glittery finish.
- Compact and sturdy box.
- Comes with a reference image and fridge magnet.
- No false fits
- Clear print
💠 The first thing that I thought as I opened the box on this puzzle was that it felt luxurious. There is a sleeve that gets pulled off to reveal a simply designed elegant box. Inside the box was a very soft cloth drawstring bag that held the pieces. Even after taking out the pieces, there is a thick reference image included and a beautiful fridge magnet showing the artwork.
💠 This puzzle was easy and fun. The artwork itself is just adorable. It is part of a set of four puzzles that tells the story of a little lamb named Baudelaire.
I have been beyond impressed by the quality of the puzzles from PERMA. The unboxing experience alone feels like opening a luxury item. The pieces are thick and matte. I really enjoyed that there were some unique piece shapes as well as a few false edges. The subtle glitter finish gives a nice added element to the puzzle. The coloring around Baudelaire even looked like there was a glow to it.
The only problem with finding new favorite puzzles is that now I have to reconfigure my favorites list. While there are many puzzles that I adore and keep in my collection (too many to be honest), it is rare for me to already be looking forward to my next time puzzling it as I am still working on it as I did with this one. I was genuinely sad it was over. Usually, I am happy to finish a puzzle and show it off to my less than enthused husband. This one, while still excited to show it off (which I very much did), there was a part of me that wished it wasn't finished as it was that fun to work on.
💠 As expected, this was another beautiful and fun puzzle from PERMA. I already knew it would be a good one since "My Aspiration: The Fairytale" (another puzzle from the brand that features this artist's work) had become my favorite puzzle when I completed it recently.
💠 I had expected the puzzle to be a challenging one given all the frames and large expanses of purple. Which is why I did opt to work on it in the four sections as it was bagged. However, I don't think it is necessary to do so. Yes, there is a lot of purple, but there are different shades depending on if it is in a frame or in the background. Even the background has the stripes and different critters that help figure out the placement of pieces. The frames were also different enough, either in color or patterns, that it wouldn't be too hard to figure out.
💠 The quality on a PERMA puzzle is unmatched. it is really hard to fully explain without having experienced it in person. The closest I can explain it is Unified Pieces meets Momibook (also two of my favorite brands). It has the luxury packaging and soft touch matte piece feel of a Unified Piece Puzzle, but the special elements that I sometimes find in a Momibook puzzle (non messy embedded subtle shimmer finish, flocked fur, glow in the dark elements, etc).
💠 Instead of the gold foil elements that I saw in "My Aspiration: The Fairytale," this puzzle had glow in the dark features. These were mainly seen around the frames and did show up really well in person. Unfortunately, my phone doesn't capture it very well, but there is a picture near the end that shows it a bit.
💠 Overall, it was a fantastic puzzle and not one that I plan to ever let go from my collection. Not only do I adore the artwork from Luosha but I just can't get enough of PERMA's puzzles.
